ABOUT US

Good Things Festival is an Australian alternative music festival held annually in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane over one weekend each December. Established by a team of seasoned industry professionals who have promoted, booked, and managed most of Australia’s major music festivals over the past 20 years, Good Things aims to fill a gap in the market by showcasing the best local, national, and international bands in world-class venues with high-level production.

2018

Debuting in 2018, Good Things brought a new era for Australian alternative music fans, ushered in by an unstoppable army of some of the heaviest, and most alternative bands the universe had on offer.

The 2018 festival featured The Offspring, Stone Sour, All Time Low, Dropkick Murphys, Bullet For My Valentine, The Used, BABYMETAL, The Smith Street Band, Dashboard Confessional, Mayday Parade, La Dispute, Northlane, The Wonder Years, Waterparks, Tonight Alive, Scarlxrd, Emmure, Palaye Royale, Make Them Suffer, Waax, Boston Manor, Void Of Vision & Ecca Vandal.

2019

Following its successful launch, Good Things returned in 2019, with the Sydney event moving to a new venue at Centennial Park. The festival featured Parkway Drive, A Day To Remember, Violent Soho, Simple Plan, Bad Religion, Trivium, Skegss, Simple Creatures, Karnivool, The Veronicas, Falling In Reverse, Enter Shikari, Dance Gavin Dance, Reel Big Fish, Poppy, Ice Nine Kills, Thy Art Is Murder, Slowly Slowly, Man With A Mission, The Bennies, Voyager, Yours Truly, Windwaker, The Beautiful Monument & Gravemind.

2020/2022

The 2020 and 2021 events, like most festivals around the world, Good Things was unable to go ahead due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2022 saw Good Things return bigger and better than before with the lineup featuring 

The festival featured Bring Me the Horizon, Deftones, NOFX (performing ‘Punk in Drublic’ in full + other favorites), TISM (exclusive: first shows in 18 years), The Amity Affliction, Gojira, One Ok Rock, 3OH!3, Blood Command, Chasing Ghosts, Cosmic Psychos, Electric Callboy, Jinjer, JXDN, Kisschasy (performing ‘United Paper People’ in full), Lacuna Coil, Millencolin, Nova Twins, Polaris, RedHook, Regurgitator, Sabaton, Sleeping with Sirens, Soulfly, The Story So Far, Thornhill.

2023

The 2023 festival marked Good Things' biggest year yet, with sold-out shows in Brisbane and Melbourne. The festival featured Fall Out Boy, Limp Bizkit, and Devo (The Farewell Tour Celebrating 50 Years). Performers included I Prevail, Bullet for My Valentine, Corey Taylor, Pennywise, Spiderbait, Slowly Slowly, Enter Shikari, Behemoth, Sepultura, Taking Back Sunday, and PVRIS. In alphabetical order: Bloom, Boom Crash Opera, Eskimo Joe, Frenzal Rhomb, Hanabie, Jebediah, Luca Brasi, Magnolia Park, Make Them Suffer, Ocean Sleeper, Royal & the Serpent, Short Stack, Slaughter to Prevail, Stand Atlantic, Tapestry, The Plot in You, and While She Sleeps.
